Alternative Fuels Inc has made a significant investment in time and research into the the renewable energy market and has the stated aim of giving customers a greener alternative to fossil fuels.
Recently there has been a resurgence of interest in this area due to the Landfill Diversion Targets of the EU Landfill Directive and the enhanced interest in residual waste treatment technologies such as Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT), which may be configured to produce Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) or Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF).
Refused Derived Fuel (RDF) and Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) source product can be used by:
It can produce lower Co2 emissions than fossil fuels as well as reducing reliance on them.
Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) is not generally used at 100% but blended with fossil fuels with a substitution in the region of 30-40%. However, this level of substitution is increasing all the time as and when the Environment Agency permit such increases.
A significant percentage of the alternative fuel provision relates to transport and logistics.
With the growing need for alternative fuels world wide, we believe that we can offer significant benefits and savings, due to the logistics at various ports that we have access to in the UK.
At Alternative Fuels, we are looking to become a market leader in the supply of low Carbon, sustainable fuel, and aim to aid support our clients with a reduction in their use of fossil fuels, and provide a considerable saving on their fuel bills.
Our current market is cement manufacturers and Waste to Energy (W2E) power plants. However, we also have the ability to support smaller companies currently using fossil fuels as part of their manufacturing\processing requirements.
We not only produce our own RDF and SRF, but we also work with a select number of external suppliers. Any supply of RDF or SRF that is exported via Alternative Fuels Inc would be subject to our strict testing and quality control procedures to ensure the high quality product for the end user.
